Superficial Chemical Peels

Curious about peels?

As a licensed esthetician, I am qualified to perform light and moderate peels, also known as superficial peels.

Although these peels are not as deep as the ones you may be able to receive from a dermatologist or doctor, they still offer plenty of benefits!

There are several different types of peels available, which we will go into more depth in a future blog.

Peels can be done every 2-5 weeks, according to your skin's tolerance and your budget. Like most skincare, effects are best seen accumulatively. Establishing a routine of treatments with your esthetician and a recommended home care routine will ensure you reap the most from your investment.

Check out some of the advantages!

-No down time. Your skin will be exfoliated, but will not actually "peel" off. You might be a little pink immediately after, but this will dissipate quickly.

-More affordable than medical peels

-No pain. A slight tingle may be felt, which is normal, but these peels do not burn, sting, or have excessive heat.

-Accumaltive effects included diminished appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, age spots, and rough patches

-Pores appear smaller and breakout frequency diminishes

-Skin takes on a healthy flow

-Products are better able to penetrate and work effectively without the barrier of dead skin cells
